Vitamix 1364 CIA Professional Series, Onyx

I use this blender every single day, at least once, and have for over a year now. This blender makes the smoothest smoothies I have yet to taste. A bannana, some yogurt, milk, frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries (and a little soy protein poweder, if you like) make a quick and healthy smoothie. Soups are easy and do become as hot as you like in this blender. There is a reason that every smoothie shop or serious restaurant has a vita-mix; they are the best!

VitaMix Drink Machine 5006 Commercial Blender

We used this product for 17 months in our coffee bar and it got a great deal of use. We had no problems with it and it just keeps going and going. Great for commercial or personal use (for those who like frozen drinks at home or to entertain).

Blendtec Home HP3A Blender WildSide Red

There are many things I can say about this blender. It is powerful and works better than I thought it would. It is one of the few things that surpasses my expectations. I use it daily in the morning before work. All fresh fruit, apples, banana, strawberries, tangelo, the occasional pear, mixed berries, kiwi.Perfectly smooth drink. I even throw in a handful of ice for it to crunch up to keep everything cool in my Blender bottle while I'm at work. The only issue I could bring up is that it is loud, but since it will blend everything in 15 to 30 seconds. The noise isn't really an issue. And really, blenders are noisy. A cheap blender that mashes everything up the sides which requires you to tamp the food back down is just as loud.

I'm very pleased with my vitamix. I received it next day with Amazon Prime and all i can say is that its mega powerful, and it doesn't leak! This is the first blender I've had that doesn't leak or spill when pouring. It's designed perfectly. The container is huge and its REALLY powerful. The included dvd and cookbook is easily worth 100$. The blender is very big though so keep this in mind before you buy. This product is made in the U.S.A. and is made to last. In short you get what you pay for. You can keep buying cheap blenders every year that are terrible or buy this one once. Your choice.

Vitamix 1709 CIA Professional Series, Brushed Stainless Finish

Necessity or Luxury: Depends on if you have experienced it (& if you plan on using it regularly)As a guy who takes his smoothies and soups very seriously, it is a necessity for me. While some might argue about the price (Covers the purchase of an average blender every year into perpetuity if purchase price is invested in an annuity), I find comparisons to other blenders moot as the results from the Vitamix is not reproducible by an average blender (no strawberry/blackberry seeds in your smoothie, no bell pepper seeds in your soup). And, cleaning takes seconds! The Motor of the Vitamix 5200 is the same as the CIA Commercial blender and costs a little less. The CIA edition comes with an exhaustive recipe book and a CD. Did I mention the blend sound reminds me of a revving Ferrari? (All the more reason to go RED!)

Margaritaville DM0500 Bahamas 36-Ounce Frozen-Concoction Maker

After looking at several different machines, we decided on this one. We definitely made the right decision. This machine is both easy to use and performs exactly as advertised. The ice is shaved to perfection, not crushed. You simply fill the ice bin, add the ingredients to the blender jar and punch the button. When the machine stops, pour and enjoy. Haven't tried daquiries yet but I'm sure they'll be great!! Would definitely buy again!!

Vitamix 5200c - 7 YR WARRANTY Variable Speed Countertop Blender with 2+ HP Motor and 48-Ounce Jar

We've had various brands of blenders in past years, but none have met the quality that I found with this blender. I bought it for my husband for Christmas and since then, we've used it several times so far to make smoothies. I have nothing but praise for the quality of smoothie it made and for the performance. I was skeptical when my husband included apple peels in the mix, from experiencing his concoctions in the past. But, to my surprise, there was no trace of apple peel whatsoever and it was quite delicious and very smooth to drink. If you are thinking of making a purchase, I would tell you not to hesitate. It may be more expensive to buy, but it will last for a long, long time. We are very happy with my purchase!

I purchased this blender only three months ago and I'm already on my third one. After only a few weeks, the first one suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. I called Customer Service and they said it was due to a known issue with the electronics. As a raw foodist, I depend on my blender DAILY, so going a week without one while I awaited the arrival of the replacement was a significant hardship. Now, only four weeks after receiving the second one, it suddenly stopped working. Needless to say, I'm not a happy customer. They have one more shot. If this one fails, I'm reversing the charge and going with a Vita-mix.

So much for this commercial machine being tough and dependable. Bought mine new through Amazon 5 weeks ago and it shut off during routine blending. Now I have to send it in for repair at my own expense. Absolutely unacceptable.

The machine broke on me and I called a representative. I told her multiple times it was broken and wouldn't turn on and she kept telling me it wasn't broken! Then she argued with me about it and I asked for the manager to take care of it. She told me no she didn't care and hung up on me. My machine is under a 7 year warranty so they need to take care of this.

This Vita-Mix blender is amazing. Well made, extremely versatile and quite large... this machine means business. The included dvd and recipe book are top notch and include many recipes to showcase the machines abilities. Beware, this machine is very powerful... start on low and then "rev" it up to high speed as the instructions indicate. I've created Jamba Juice quality smoothies and Sbucks quality frappuccino's for houseguests and they are always impressed. Worth every penny.

Omega BL630W 3-HP Variable Speed Blender, 64-Ounce, White

Took a while to realize there was an on/off switch on the side/bottom/back/somewhere... Then all system were go! Lots of blending power. But don't know where the 3-HP rating comes from. All converters I use say this is only about half the horse power based on amps/volts etc. An enquiry to Omega remains unanswered. It is beautiful! Would like to know when larger pitcher is available...

Hamilton Beach HBH850 Commercial Summit High-Performance Sensor Blender with 64-Ounce Polycarbonate Container, Blue

Had it for a year already in my froyo store. After 3 months, the container bottom started to rust. Very difficult to clean as you cant remove the parts. The grooves are also deep; requires q-tips to clean the rust/ooze. Because the polycarbonate container has metal gears on the bottom, if the container doesnt dry properly/immediately, the container WILL rust. The blender itself is ok. Sometimes my smoothie recipes get stuck halfway during blending, but the same recipe works fine in a vitamix. Its also definetely not as quiet as the Vitamix "The Quiet One". I highly recommed the vitamix over this one. Would attach photos of the rust but not sure how to do it.

Vitamix 1710 Professional Series, Brushed Stainless Finish

As I also posted on the Williams-Sonoma website, I had no qualms about spending $600 on this appliance after throughly researching reviews and videos and discussing with food pros. Am using at least 3x a day - hot soups, frozen fruit treats, dips, and smoothies and lassis to die for. So easy to use - no need to peel or remove seeds from fruits or vegetables. The 64-oz container is lightweight and easy to pour from; rubber lid snaps in tightly - no leakeage - and removes easily. It's important, for maximum effectiveness, to always put your wet ingredients in before the solid - this will prevent the solids from gumming up in the blades. As clearly stated in the accompanying recipe book - place the ingredients "in the order listed." Also a breeze to clean, and such a handsome addition to the kitchen counter - next to my Cuisinart, which is quickly becoming jealous from disuse. Not surprising that this is the blender used on Iron Chef - I keep freeze-framing on the TV image to reinforce my happy decision. Made in the USA and with a 7-year warranty, I expect this to provide many years of daily use. To close - I will provide my own recipe for a Mango Ginger Lassi (so refreshing) - 1 cup low-fat Kefir, 2/3 cup frozen mango chunks, 1 thin slice fresh ginger root unpeeled, 2 tsp turbinado sugar or honey, pinch of cardamom. Blend on smoothie setting. Serve in a wine goblet for best enjoyment.
